About Us
Oxford Islamic Information Centre (OIIC)
The Oxford Islamic Information Centre (OIIC) was established in 1990 by Dr. Sheikh Ramzy to meet the growing need for accurate, accessible information about Islam. The Centre also provides support, guidance, and education for new Muslims as they begin their journey toward a life guided by Islamic principles.
Our mission is to represent Islam in its true and beautiful form, to welcome anyone seeking knowledge about the faith, and to support those who have embraced Islam in leading a life aligned with its teachings.
OIIC offers a wide selection of free Islamic literature, including books and informational leaflets, available to anyone interested in learning more about the religion. If you are exploring Islam or considering embracing the faith, we warmly invite you to get in touch using the contact details below.
The Centre hosts weekly classes specifically tailored for new Muslims—both men and women. These sessions include practical tutorials on daily practices such as prayer, using a proven step-by-step method that enables quick and confident learning. We also provide one-to-one advice and support on various aspects of faith and practice.
In addition to educational services, OIIC organizes annual community events including Eid celebrations, public lectures, conferences, and social gatherings. We actively engage with schools, universities, and community institutions through talks and presentations aimed at fostering mutual understanding and social cohesion.
The Centre also offers Islamic marriage and divorce services. Dr. Sheikh Ramzy brings extensive experience in officiating Islamic marriage ceremonies and provides counselling services—especially for converts and inter-cultural couples—ensuring spiritual and practical guidance.
If you would like further information about any of our services, or have questions about Islam in general, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
We look forward to connecting with you.
Warm regards,
The OIIC Team
